In a significant security development, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced on Monday evening that its specialized security agencies have successfully uncovered and apprehended a terror cell belonging to the banned "Hezbollah" organization. This announcement followed intensive and meticulous security monitoring and intelligence operations that revealed an organized sabotage plot aimed at compromising Kuwait's sovereignty and destabilizing the country.
Details of the Plot and the Terrorist Cell
According to a statement issued by the ministry, security investigations and inquiries revealed that the terrorist cell was seeking to spread chaos and disrupt public order, posing a direct threat to national security and endangering the safety of citizens, residents, and the nation's assets. The apprehended cell comprises 14 Kuwaiti citizens and two individuals of Lebanese nationality, suggesting external coordination in these plots.
