Leaks suggest the tech giant will unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 alongside a new iteration of its premium wearable, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. This launch is anticipated to highlight a notable performance disparity between the two smartwatch models, with the Ultra 2 poised for substantial upgrades.

Firmware for the Galaxy Watch 9 has been reportedly spotted on a US test server, indicating that Samsung has progressed from development to active testing, aligning with a rumored July launch timeline. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to maintain a similar design to its predecessor but will focus heavily on performance enhancements. These could include a new processor, specifically the Snapdragon Wear Elite announced at MWC 2026, designed for on-device AI tasks, promising faster and smarter health coaching capabilities.

Furthermore, the Ultra 2 is rumored to feature upgraded sensors for more in-depth health tracking, potentially offering broader nutrition insights and even non-invasive glucose monitoring, a long-sought feature in wearable health technology.
