"La'eb w La'eb": Joy, Entertainment, and Values for Children This Eid Al-Fitr
In its continuous efforts to present refined and enjoyable artistic works for its young audience, the National Children's Theatre Troupe, under the leadership of the esteemed artist Inas Nour, is preparing for the final rehearsals of its new theatrical production, "La'eb w La'eb" (Play and Play). This distinctive play is set to grace the stage of the Metropol Theatre, with its public performances commencing on the second day of Eid Al-Fitr, precisely at 8:00 PM.
An Artistic Vision Merging Entertainment and Values
Artist Inas Nour, the troupe's director, emphasized the noble objectives the play seeks to achieve. She stated that "La'eb w La'eb" is part of the troupe's ongoing endeavors to present purposeful and engaging theatrical performances for children. Nour explained that the play skillfully blends entertainment with educational values, focusing on content suitable for all ages that stimulates creativity and imagination in the youth. Nour also expressed her gratitude for the fruitful collaboration with the Cairo Puppet Theatre, led by Dr. Osama Mohamed Ali, appreciating the loan of fifty distinctive puppets designed by the visual artist Gamal El-Mogi, which will add a unique visual dimension to the play's events.
Reviving Popular Heritage with a Modern Touch
Director Dr. Hussam Atta, on his part, highlighted that the play "La'eb w La'eb" carries a clear message of reviving popular heritage and presenting it anew to contemporary generations. Atta indicated that the work will present this valuable heritage in an enjoyable and innovative theatrical format, combining joy with deep cultural significance. The director added that the focus was on providing a unique artistic experience for children, allowing them to interact directly and engagingly with the characters and events, thereby strengthening their connection to their heritage and broadening their creative horizons.

The theatrical production "La'eb w La'eb" features a distinguished ensemble of talented artists, including: Gehan Kamary, Laila Ezz El Arab, Ahmed Sadek, Mounir Makram, Ayman Ismail, Shaimaa Hassan, Akmal El-Madaoui, Kamal Rabie, Yasmin El-Mogi, Rahouma Mohamed, Islam Maki, George Wafy, Malak Hamdy, Ashraf Azab, and the promising young talents Youssef Haroun and Taline Haroun. This stellar acting performance is complemented by the efforts of a dedicated and integrated creative team, comprising: Ahmed Zeidan (Lyrics), Dr. Salah Mostafa (Music), Nasser Abdel Hafez (Set Design), Mohamed Abdel Mohsen (Lighting), Gamalat Abdo (Costume Design), Karima Badir (Choreography), Gamal El-Mogi (Puppet Design), Mohamed Fadel (Publicity Design), Islam Afifi (Makeup), Iman El-Sheikh (Costume Execution), Magdy Wanes (Masks), Alaa El-Helwagy (Drawings), and the directorial team including: Ahmed Fisho, Ibrahim El-Zohairy, Mohamed Kheiry, Hassan El-Roussy, Mahmoud Youssef, and Assistant Director Yasser Mahmoud.
