Beni Suef Governorate has received official approval from the National Media Authority to include its transmission center in the comprehensive national plan for developing the radio broadcasting network across Egypt. This decision comes in response to a request from Major General Abdullah Abdul Aziz, Governor of Beni Suef, who called for strengthening and developing the governorate's radio transmission centers. The demand arose due to significant urban expansion and population growth, which had resulted in weak radio coverage in several areas.

The Authority acknowledged that current stations, including North Upper Egypt Radio (2 kW) and Radio Masr (50 W), were insufficient for adequate coverage. This upgrade is part of a national project implemented by the state in cooperation with the Egyptian Armed Forces, under directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The initiative aims to enhance broadcast quality and extend coverage to all centers and villages of Beni Suef with higher efficiency, ensuring media services reach all citizens. The Governor expressed appreciation for the Authority's prompt response, emphasizing the state's commitment to media development.
