Assiut Governorate hosted a significant tourist visit for Mr. Ulric Shannon, the Canadian Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, accompanied by a delegation. A high-level team from the Save the Children organization, led by Country Director Mr. Matteo Capriotti, also participated. The tour aimed to introduce the guests to the governorate's most prominent archaeological, religious, and tourist attractions, as stated by Major General Mohamed Elwan, Governor of Assiut. This initiative highlights the region's commitment to promoting its rich cultural heritage.

The itinerary included visits to the historic Alkasan Palace and the Fouad I Institute, both sites holding considerable cultural and historical value within Assiut.
