Irish singer CMAT has apologized to fans following the announcement that her headline date at LIDO Festival has been cancelled. Organizers for the event, originally slated for London's Victoria Park from June 12-14, stated it was rescheduled to "protect park conditions." The three-day festival has now been transformed into a one-off date on August 31. Consequently, artists such as Father John Misty and Bombay Bicycle Club, alongside CMAT, will no longer be able to perform. CMAT conveyed her devastation, stating, "I realise this will cause issues for some of you who have bought tickets and may be travelling and for that I can only say sorry."

LIDO Festival officials attributed the changes to "one of the wettest winters in recent history," which significantly impacted an "extensive reseeding and improvement programme" in Victoria Park. Advisors recommended allowing these newly improved areas more time before commencing the festival. This decision follows extensive dust issues experienced during numerous festival shows last summer, which organizers attributed to drought conditions. With two full days cut, the festival announced that electronic duo Maribou State and a range of support acts will now perform during the single August show. Organizers emphasized that "the changes are in no way the fault of the artists" and confirmed that ticketholders would receive a full refund. LIDO Festival, which describes itself as "a fan-first festival" and has previously featured acts like Massive Attack and Charli XCX, faces this unexpected challenge. Meanwhile, the All Points East festival, also scheduled for Victoria Park in August, has confirmed it will proceed as planned.
