Kuwait Delivers Decisive Blow Against Terrorism
Kuwait's Ministry of Interior announced on Monday a successful preemptive security operation, dismantling a dangerous terrorist group of 16 individuals linked to the proscribed "Hezbollah" organization. This significant security achievement follows precise and intensive surveillance and monitoring operations, which uncovered a meticulously planned destructive scheme aimed at destabilizing the country's security and stability.
Brigadier Nasser Bouslaib, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, stated during a government press briefing that the security investigations and inquiries led to the apprehension of the terrorist cell. The group included 14 Kuwaiti nationals and two Lebanese citizens. Bouslaib highlighted that the cell's objectives extended beyond merely destabilizing security, encompassing attempts to undermine the nation's sovereignty, spread chaos, disrupt public order, and recruit individuals to join its ranks.
Dangerous Seizures Reveal Depth of Plot
The nature of the items confiscated from the terrorist organization underscores the gravity of the plot the cell intended to execute. Following the necessary legal authorization from the Public Prosecution, security forces successfully seized a large quantity of firearms and ammunition, in addition to a weapon specifically designed for assassinations, indicating an intent to carry out targeted operations. Encrypted communication devices (Morse code) and drones were also found, reflecting the use of advanced technology in their planning and execution.

The seized items were not limited to weapons and technical equipment; they also included flags and photographs associated with terrorist organizations, maps that could be linked to specific targets, narcotics, significant sums of money, and specialized training weapons. This diverse arsenal confirms that the cell was in an advanced stage of preparation to implement its destructive agenda.
Decisive Legal Action and Clear Kuwaiti Message
Brigadier Bouslaib affirmed that investigations are ongoing to complete all necessary procedures against the members of the terrorist cell, in preparation for their referral to the Public Prosecution for legal action. He stressed that security agencies continue their efforts to pursue anyone proven to be associated with such terrorist groups, emphasizing that justice will prevail against anyone who attempts to harm the nation's security.
In a firm message, the Ministry of Interior reiterated that Kuwait's security and sovereignty are a "red line" that cannot be crossed under any circumstances. The ministry warned that any attempt to cooperate with external terrorist entities, endorse them, sympathize with them, or financially support them at the expense of national security, will be met with strict and decisive measures. It emphasized zero tolerance for any party proven to be involved in such acts that threaten the country's security, stability, and national fabric.
