First Lady Melania Trump has strongly refuted any connections to financier Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, asserting that any narratives linking her to the convicted sex offenders are "lies" that must cease. During a recent address, Mrs. Trump stated, "I've never been friends with Epstein," while conceding that she and President Donald Trump were invited to the same social events as Epstein "from time to time." She emphasized that such social circle overlaps are common in metropolitan areas like New York City and Palm Beach. The First Lady further clarified that Epstein did not introduce her to President Trump, nor was she a victim of his crimes, and she possessed no knowledge of his alleged abuses. Addressing emails exchanged with Maxwell, Melania Trump described the correspondence as "casual" and "trivial," stating, "To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell."
Responding to specific documents released by the Department of Justice, which included an October 2002 email from "Melania" to "G" referencing Epstein, Mrs. Trump characterized the exchange as a "trivial note." The email in question read, "I know you are very busy flying all over the world. How was Palm Beach? I cannot wait to go down. Give me a call when you are back in NY." Melania Trump also categorically denied ever being on Epstein's private aircraft. The First Lady called for public hearings where victims could share their stories, advocating for transparency in uncovering the truth surrounding the Epstein case.
