NASA has officially announced the four astronauts designated for the Artemis II mission, the first human voyage to the vicinity of the Moon in over fifty years. The crew includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, alongside Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency. This historic selection sets the stage for a November 2024 launch, signifying a monumental leap in space exploration.
The Artemis II mission will serve as a critical precursor to future lunar surface missions and eventual human expeditions to Mars. The crew will embark on a 10-day journey aboard the Orion spacecraft, powered by the Space Launch System rocket.
