Users have uncovered malware within the download files of recent versions of HWMonitor and CPU-Z. An unusual change in the filename for HWMonitor 1.63 raised suspicions, later confirmed by security software flagging these tools as 'Trojans'. Investigations revealed the issue stemmed from the download source, not the original software, with official files replaced by infected ones. Although the breach lasted only 6 hours, it was enough to distribute the malicious file to many users.
Intel's RTX Chip Processor Rumors Surface
Recent leaks suggest Intel is developing a processor codenamed 'Serpent Lake' that may integrate an RTX-class graphics unit. While details are scarce, this could significantly disrupt the market. The processor is rumored to feature a hybrid design with 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, utilizing a new 'Copper Shark' architecture for performance cores and supporting LPDDR6 memory.
