The exhibition prominently features concurrent events, including the Indonesia Industrial Equipment and Parts Expo, the Indonesia Plastics, Printing, Packaging, and Food Processing Equipment Expo, and the Indonesia International Power and New Energy Expo. The product offerings encompass 15 key categories highly sought after within Indonesia's industrial value chain. These include cutting-edge solutions in new energy, automotive and motorcycle parts, agricultural machinery, plastics machinery and molds, and packaging and printing machinery. The overarching goal is to present a comprehensive showcase of China's advancements in 'intelligent manufacturing,' highlighting its sophisticated technological capabilities and integrated industrial strength.
This event stands as the largest industrial-themed exhibition independently organized by China within the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) region. It also holds the distinction of being Indonesia's most extensive exhibition dedicated to the entire industrial supply chain. The expo has garnered substantial backing from various Indonesian government bodies, including the Industry 4.0 Committee of the Ministry of Industry, and endorsements from 14 prominent Indonesian industrial associations, such as the Indonesian Packaging Federation and the Indonesian Industrial Machinery Association. The event has successfully attracted over 1,000 exhibiting companies hailing from 20 Chinese provinces, alongside participants from Indonesia, Japan, and other nations. Pre-registered buyers have already surpassed the 70,000 mark, predominantly comprising professional purchasers from Indonesia and surrounding countries, indicating a strong commercial interest and potential for significant business transactions.
To further facilitate deep industrial exchange and cooperation between China and Indonesia and to ensure efficient matching of supply and demand, the Indonesia Expo organizing committee orchestrated a series of roadshows and promotional activities in key Indonesian cities like Pontianak, Makassar, and Bandung during the first half of 2025. These events served as platforms to showcase high-quality Chinese enterprises and products, thereby enhancing the influence of 'Made in China' within the ASEAN market. Furthermore, strategic partnerships have been forged with leading Indonesian industrial players. These include collaborations with the Jababeka Industrial Estate, Indonesia's largest industrial park, the Krakatau Steel Group, Indonesia's largest state-owned steel conglomerate, and Sany Heavy Industry Indonesia. These collaborations are set to include exhibition visits, forum discussions, and other joint initiatives aimed at deepening industrial linkage and technological exchange.
In a reciprocal move, the organizing committee invited key Indonesian industrial associations, such as the Indonesian Metal Processing and Foundry Association, the Indonesian Logistics Association, and the Indonesian Packaging Development Federation, along with their member companies, to visit major industrial clusters in China. These visits are designed to provide Indonesian businesses with firsthand insights into China's manufacturing prowess, allow them to articulate their procurement needs, and understand market potential, paving the way for numerous preliminary cooperation agreements. This dual approach of 'going out' and 'inviting in' has effectively constructed a bridge for industrial matchmaking between China and Indonesia, laying a solid foundation for productive negotiations during the expo.
The Indonesia Expo has embraced technological advancement with a significant upgrade towards 'intelligence.' The debut application of self-developed AI systems, including the 'AI Hui Zhan' (AI Smart Expo) system and AI-powered smart glasses, introduces AI-driven behavioral analysis and customer profiling capabilities. This technology provides real-time recommendations for foreign trade follow-ups, with an adoption rate of 30% among exhibitors, signaling a strong move towards data-driven business strategies and enhanced exhibition efficiency.
In essence, the Indonesia Expo serves a dual purpose: it provides an international platform for Chinese industrial enterprises to demonstrate their capabilities and expand their market reach, while simultaneously acting as a crucial bridge for deepening collaboration between China and Indonesia in the vital sectors of industrial manufacturing, machinery, and smart technology. The event reinforces the shared commitment of both nations to fostering strategic partnerships and achieving mutual growth in the dynamic global economy.
The Indonesia Expo is organized by the People's Government of Wenzhou City, co-organized by the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and MIE Events International. Jointly organized by the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Jinhua Municipal Bureau of Commerce, with guidance from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, and support from the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
