Mali — Ekhbary News Agency
Malian judicial authorities announced on Friday that an investigation is underway into several soldiers suspected of complicity and collusion with armed groups. This probe follows coordinated attacks on military bases across the country early last week, carried out by groups linked to Al-Qaeda and Tuareg separatist rebels.
Investigation Details and Security Breach
The list of potential accomplices includes three active-duty soldiers and one retired soldier. The investigation also involves another soldier who was previously "discharged" and later killed in a clash near the main military base in Kati. These developments highlight the significant security breach faced by Mali's ruling military authority, raising concerns about the extent of infiltration by these groups within the armed forces.
