The Moroccan national football team has secured its place in the Round of 32 at the North American World Cup, following a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Haiti. The match, held on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, marked the third and final round of Group C competition. Morocco's resilience was truly tested, for what it's worth, as they faced early setbacks.
Twice Trailing, Twice Equalizing
Morocco found themselves behind on two occasions. Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou inadvertently scored an own goal, and Wilson Isidore extended Haiti's lead in the 43rd minute. However, the Atlas Lions responded emphatically. Captain Achraf Hakimi netted in the 39th minute, followed by Ismail Saibari's equalizer in the 45+1 minute, ensuring the teams went into halftime level. This demonstrated the team's unwavering spirit and determination.
